Show Route Mastery and Safety Discipline on Your CV

Driving roles in Nairobi demand more than just a license—they want proof you know the city's traffic patterns and can handle goods with care. Your CV should highlight your years behind the wheel and any safety training.

    1. Highlight your license classes: Clearly list your driving license classes (B, CL, CE, E) at the top of your CV. This is the first screen recruiters use, so make it impossible to miss.

    2. Show route knowledge: Mention specific towns and routes you know well, like Mombasa Road or Thika Superhighway. This shows you can navigate efficiently without over-relying on GPS.

    3. Emphasize a clean record: State that you have a clean driving record and no major traffic violations. This builds trust and reduces liability concerns.

    4. Detail your mechanical skills: Even basic mechanical knowledge is valuable. Mention any experience with routine checks like tire pressure, oil levels, or minor repairs.

    5. Prove customer service: If you've dealt with clients during deliveries, describe that. Good communication and a professional manner are key for this role.

    6. Prepare for a practical test: Be ready to demonstrate your driving skills on the spot. Practice maneuvers like reversing, parking, and navigating tight spaces.

    7. Show reliability: Provide examples of punctuality and dependability, such as consistent on-time deliveries or long tenure with previous employers.

    8. Understand company values: Research Muthokinju Paint and Cement and their delivery operations. Tailor your application to show you understand their need for careful handling of goods.

CareerSasa Safety Alert: Never pay employers or agencies for interviews, training, or job placement. Does a job request payment? Report it immediately using the "Flag" button. While CareerSasa vets job postings thoroughly, always verify opportunities independently.
