Show Your Casting and Traction Craft Before the Interview

This role is hands-on: fracture reduction, casting, and traction are daily tasks, and the board will want proof you can do them safely and confidently. 4. Show your emergency readiness: The job involves participating in the management of minor orthopaedic and trauma cases in emergencies. Highlight any experience in accident and emergency settings, and give an example of a time you stayed calm and acted quickly during a trauma case.

5. Emphasize patient communication: You will be counseling patients and creating community awareness. Prepare to discuss how you explain procedures to anxious patients or how you would sensitize a community about orthopaedic trauma prevention. A concrete example of patient education you have done will strengthen your answer.

6. Know the county context: Nyeri County has a mix of urban and rural populations, and you may work with limited resources. Show that you are adaptable and can improvise with available materials, while maintaining sterility and patient safety. Mention any experience working in a public or resource-constrained facility.
