    Job Description

    Kabarak University is seeking a Lecturer in Physical Chemistry to teach and conduct research in Physical Chemistry and related areas. The role involves supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, setting and marking assignments, tests, and examinations, and conducting laboratory practicals and research activities. The successful candidate will also perform any other duties assigned by the University Management.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Teaching and research in Physical Chemistry and related areas four courses per semester
    • Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects in Physical Chemistry and related disciplines
    • Providing results of assignments, tests and examinations for recording
    • Setting and marking assignments, tests and examinations
    • Conducting laboratory practicals and research activities in Physical Chemistry and related areas
    • Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the University Management

    Required Qualifications

    • An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in English, Linguistics, Literature or a relevant field from an accredited and recognized University
    • Excellent laboratory, presentation, teaching and learning support skills
    • At least three 3 years teaching experience at University level or experience in research or industry
    • Registered with the relevant professional body, where applicable
    • Ability to organize academic seminars, workshops and conference
    • A minimum of twenty-four 24 publication points, of which at least sixteen 16 should be from refereed journal papers
