⚕️ Job Summary
The Pharmaceutical Technologist will work closely with the pharmacist and medical team to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant dispensing of medications. The role involves assisting in prescription handling, inventory management, and ensuring patients receive the right medicines and advice with professionalism and care.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs under supervision.
- Compound and reconstitute drugs as guided by licensed staff.
- Label, organize, and restock medications and medical supplies in an orderly manner.
- Maintain accurate prescription records, inventory logs, and controlled substance documentation.
- Support stock management — including ordering, receiving, and checking expiry dates.
- Report adverse drug reactions or pharmacovigilance incidents promptly.
- Keep the pharmacy area clean, organized, and compliant with set standards.
- Handle all patient information with strict confidentiality.
- Participate in regular training, workshops, and hospital capacity-building sessions.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervising pharmacist or hospital administration.
