    Master the Security Vendor Ecosystem

This role hinges on your ability to manage third-party security contracts and build partnerships that keep Haleon's operations safe. Hiring managers will probe how you've handled vendor performance, cost, and compliance in past roles.

    1. Show contract management wins: Highlight specific examples where you negotiated or oversaw security contracts, improved service delivery, or cut costs while maintaining quality. Quantify results where possible.

    2. Demonstrate crisis leadership: Be ready to walk through a real incident—how you assessed the threat, coordinated response, and communicated to leadership. Show you can stay calm and decisive under pressure.

    3. Prove your regulatory fluency: Kenya's security landscape has unique compliance demands. Mention your familiarity with local laws, industry standards, and how you've ensured alignment in previous roles.

    4. Show strategic thinking: This is a senior role—talk about how you've aligned security with business goals, not just implemented tactics. Give an example of a long-term security strategy you drove.

    5. Highlight stakeholder influence: You'll need to brief senior leaders and win their trust. Share a story where you influenced a C-level decision or gained buy-in for a security initiative.

    6. Emphasize technology adoption: Security tech is evolving fast. Mention any tools you've deployed—CCTV analytics, access control systems, or threat monitoring platforms—and the impact they had.

    7. Prepare for behavioral questions: Expect questions on teamwork, conflict resolution, and handling difficult vendors. Use the STAR method to structure your answers.

    8. Research Haleon's security framework: Understand their Corporate Security Policy and how they operate across Africa. Tailor your answers to show you can hit the ground running.
