THE OPPORTUNITY & RESPONSIBILITIES Inkomoko is seeking an experienced Field Security Associate Reporting to the Security Focal Person, with a very close working relationship with the Operations Manager, the Field Security Associate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols across Inkomoko’s offices in Kenya, particularly in Dadaab and Garissa. This role includes conducting risk assessments, coordinating emergency response plans, security movement procedures and ensuring compliance with organizational and local security standards. The position holder will also liaise with local authorities, humanitarian partners, and internal teams to maintain a secure working environment for staff and clients, especially in Dadaab the refugee camps and Garissa. Experience working in fragile contexts and a strong understanding of Dadaab, the Camps and Garissa security landscape are essential for success in this position Provides supervisor with timely and credible security information and contextual analysis of the local security situation through: daily incident alerts and bi-weekly analytical reports for his/her areas of responsibility. • Liaises with local authorities, humanitarian partners, and internal teams to maintain a secure working environment for staff and clients.

• A true customer-service mindset to support employees for effective delivery of Inkomoko’s program work
• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Risk Management, Emergency or Disaster Management and Operations Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Safety and Security management, preferably within a social enterprise or similar environment.
• Proven experience in managing multi-site operations and supervising diverse teams.
• Excellent leadership, highly communicative, with strong interpersonal skills,
• Fluent in written and oral Kiswahili and English language.
• Knowledge of Somali language is desirable
• Strong analytical, solution oriented, and decisive in an emergency situation.
• Proficiency in software, such as ERP systems, and MS Office
• Clearly understand the Dadaab/Garissa context dynamics.
