About the Role
The Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya (ADAK) plays a crucial role in protecting clean sport and ensuring that all athletes in Kenya compete on a level playing field. As a Sports Doping Control Officer, you will be at the heart of this mission — overseeing the collection and handling of doping control samples and ensuring full compliance with World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) standards.
This position requires an individual with discipline, discretion, and a strong sense of ethics. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of sample collection processes, managing doping control stations, and ensuring that all procedures uphold ADAK’s mandate of fairness, accountability, and transparency in sport.

Key Responsibilities
- Review mission or testing orders prior to each doping control activity.
- Prepare all necessary equipment and documentation in line with mission requirements.
- Identify, set up, and maintain doping control stations that meet WADA and ADAK standards.
- Organize and brief sample collection personnel to ensure they are trained and competent.
- Supervise chaperones and other sample collection personnel during operations.
- Oversee or perform athlete notification and chaperoning, ensuring fairness and privacy.
- Clearly explain athlete rights and responsibilities during the doping control process.
- Conduct or oversee the collection of urine and/or blood samples as per WADA protocols.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all doping control operations and athlete information.
- Manage documentation and ensure all forms are accurately filled and secured.
- Ensure all collected samples are properly sealed, stored, and transported.
- Maintain communication with mission coordinators and ADAK headquarters for logistics and reporting.
- Uphold ADAK’s code of conduct, professionalism, and operational excellence.
- Report any deviations, irregularities, or incidents observed during missions.
