    Job Description

    The Driver II (Bus Driver) is responsible for transporting authorized staff to designated locations safely and on time, ensuring the cleanliness and routine maintenance of assigned vehicles, and performing minor repairs. The role also involves record keeping of distances and fuel costs, inspecting vehicles for required equipment, and maintaining valid legal documents.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Transport authorized staff to designated locations in a safe and timely manner.
    • Ensure cleanliness and routine maintenance of assigned vehicles.
    • Perform minor repairs and arrange for major repairs to keep vehicles in good condition.
    • Ensure timely change of oil, checking tyres, brakes, and water levels.
    • Report accidents and incidents to the Transport Officer.
    • Record distances travelled and fuel costs incurred.
    • Inspect vehicles to ensure they are fully equipped with tools and first aid kit.
    • Maintain all valid legal documents such as driving license, work tickets, insurance, and safety hazards.
    • Ensure safety of vehicles on and off the road.

    Required Qualifications

    • K.C.S.E mean grade of D plain
    • Have driver License of Class BCE vehicles.
    • Computer Literacy
    • Conversant with NTSA Act and Regulations
    • Has Knowledge of First Aid Skills
    • Has Basic Mechanic Course.
    • At least 2 years job experience
