    Job Description

    The University of Kabianga is seeking a Lecturer in Curriculum Instruction & Educational Media. The role involves teaching and assessing courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervising student projects and theses, developing courses, and participating in research and community service. Candidates must hold a PhD and Master's degree in Kiswahili Subject Methods or Kiswahili Education, have three years of university-level teaching or research experience, and at least two publications in refereed journals or book chapters.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Teach and assess courses in one's discipline at both undergraduate and postgraduate Level
    • Supervise undergraduate projects and other experiential learning programs
    • Supervise dissertations/theses at the graduate level.
    • Participate in the development of undergraduate and postgraduate courses
    • Initiate, promote and participate in research projects
    • Provide professional and community services and initiate linkages and fundraising.
    • Carry out administrative and other duties & responsibilities as may be assigned

    Required Qualifications

    • PhD degree in Kiswahili Subject Methods/Kiswahili Education from a recognized and accredited University.
    • Master's degree in Kiswahili Subject Methods/Kiswahili Education from a recognized and accredited University.
    • Three 3 years teaching experience at university level or in research or in industry.
    • At least two 2 publications in refereed journals or two 2 book chapters in relevant areas
    • Registered with relevant professional body where applicable
