    Job Description

    The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology is seeking a qualified Lecturer at Grade 12. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and research in the field of Aerospace/Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering. Applicants must meet the specified academic and professional requirements as outlined in the job posting.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Teaching and research in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

    Required Qualifications

    • Possess a PhD in Aerospace/Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering from an accredited and recognized institution.
    • Have earned a Master's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited and recognized university.
    • Have earned a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited and recognized university.
    • Be registered with a relevant professional body and be in good standing.
    • OR Possess a Master's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited and recognized institution.
    • Have earned a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering from an accredited and recognized university.
    • At least ten (10) years teaching experience or Industry experience in related field.
    • Have three (3) papers in referred journals or two (2) scholarly books since last appointment/promotion.
    • Be registered with Engineers Board of Kenya as a professional Engineer and be in good standing.
    • A holder of Aircraft maintenance license with ratings related to mechanic/avionic/engine will be an added advantage.
