    Job Description

    Kabarak University is seeking a Lecturer in Animal Science to teach and conduct research in Animal Science and related areas. The role involves supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, conducting practicals and fieldwork, and participating in academic activities. The successful candidate will contribute to the department's teaching, research, and community engagement.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Teaching and research in Animal Science and related areas four courses per semester
    • Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects in Animal Science and related disciplines
    • Providing results of assignments, tests and examinations for recording
    • Conducting practicals, fieldwork and research activities in Animal Science and related areas
    • Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the University Management
    • Participating in academic seminars, workshops, conferences and departmental activities.

    Required Qualifications

    • An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in Animal Science, Animal Production, Livestock Production or a relevant field from an accredited and recognized University
    • Excellent practical, fieldwork, presentation, teaching and learning support skills
    • At least three 3 years teaching experience at University level or experience in research or industry
    • Registered with the relevant professional body, where applicabl
    • A minimum of twenty-four 24 publication points, of which at least sixteen 16 should be from refereed journal papers
    • Ability to use modern teaching methods and E-Learning tools
