How to Apply: Send your CV to careers@hotpoint.co.ke using the position as subject of email.

Master the M365 Stack Before You Walk In

This role is about owning the entire Microsoft 365 environment — from identity and security to collaboration and automation. Hiring managers will probe your hands-on depth across Entra ID, Intune, and the Power Platform, not just your certifications.

    1. Map your M365 admin experience: On your CV, list the specific tenants you've administered, the number of users, and the complexity of the environment. Quantify your impact — e.g., reduced ticket volume by 20% through automation.

    2. Prepare a governance story: Be ready to explain how you've implemented conditional access policies, MFA, and DLP. Have a concrete example of a security incident you mitigated.

    3. Show your PowerShell chops: Expect a live scripting test or a question about automating user onboarding. Practice common admin tasks like bulk user creation or license assignment.

    4. Understand the AMC relationship: This role manages an external IT partner. Think about how you've tracked SLAs, escalated issues, and ensured quality. Have a story about a vendor negotiation or a SLA breach.

    5. Demonstrate training skills: You'll own M365 training content. Prepare a sample user guide or a short demo on Teams or SharePoint adoption. Show you can translate technical concepts for non-technical staff.

    6. Know the D365 integration points: The role supports D365 F&O, CRM, and HRMS. Familiarize yourself with how M365 integrates with these platforms — e.g., Teams meetings, SharePoint document management, Power Automate flows.

    7. Highlight your documentation habits: The posting stresses maintaining the ICT Knowledge Repository. Bring examples of runbooks or configuration docs you've written. Show you keep them updated within days of changes.

    8. Prepare for scenario questions: Expect questions like 'A user can't access SharePoint — how do you troubleshoot?' or 'How would you roll out a new Teams policy to the whole company?' Walk through your step-by-step approach.
