Show Your Digital Portfolio and Technical Edge

This graduate program is competitive, and the hiring team will look for proof of your technical skills and creative flair. Your application should demonstrate that you're ready to contribute from day one.

    1. Tailor your CV to the role: Highlight your graphic design projects, digital marketing campaigns, and any ICT-related coursework. Use specific examples like 'designed social media graphics for a campus event' or 'managed a Google Ads campaign with a 2% CTR'.

    2. Build a strong portfolio: If you're applying for the multimedia side, have a portfolio ready—whether it's a PDF, website, or Behance link. Showcase your best work that aligns with the job's focus on graphic design and digital marketing.

    3. Prepare for technical tests: The posting mentions demonstrating technical competencies before the interview. Brush up on tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and social media management platforms. Practice creating sample designs or running mock campaigns.

    4. Understand the government context: This is a government program, so emphasize your understanding of public sector communication and any experience with official documents or branding. Mention any coursework or projects related to government or public service.

    5. Highlight your recent graduate status: Since you must have graduated within the last two years, emphasize your up-to-date knowledge and eagerness to learn. Mention any recent certifications or online courses you've completed.

    6. Show your soft skills: Teamwork, communication, and adaptability are crucial in a workplace environment. Provide examples of group projects, volunteer work, or part-time jobs where you demonstrated these skills.

    7. Research the ICT Authority: Learn about their current projects and initiatives. Mention how your skills can contribute to their goals, such as digital literacy programs or e-government services.

    8. Double-check your eligibility: Ensure you meet all the requirements: age 21-29, Kenyan youth, unemployed, and haven't done a previous government internship. Have your academic documents ready for verification.

CareerSasa Safety Alert: Never pay employers or agencies for interviews, training, or job placement. Does a job request payment? Report it immediately using the "Flag" button. While CareerSasa vets job postings thoroughly, always verify opportunities independently.
