    Master the Telecom Operator Landscape

This role is about opening doors with telecom operators and digital partners. Your CV and interview must show you already know who sits where and how deals get done in Kenya's VAS and DCB space.

    1. Map the decision-makers: Before you apply, list the key telecom operators in Kenya and identify the people in roles like Head of VAS, Head of Partnerships, and DCB Manager. Mention these names and their influence in your cover letter to show you've done your homework.

    2. Prove your VAS/DCB track record: Quantify your past achievements in VAS, DCB, or mobile content sales. Use numbers: revenue growth, number of partnerships secured, market share gained. Specifics beat vague claims.

    3. Show you can work remotely: This role is remote and field-based. Highlight your self-discipline, time management, and communication tools you use (e.g., CRM, Slack, Zoom). Give an example of a project you managed independently.

    4. Understand the Kenyan telecom ecosystem: Be ready to discuss the current state of mobile money, data services, and content consumption in Kenya. Mention trends like the growth of mobile wallets and how they relate to DCB.

    5. Prepare a partnership pitch: You'll be selling to operators and content providers. Have a concise pitch ready that explains how your company's services can boost their revenue or user engagement. Practice it until it's smooth.

    6. Highlight your existing relationships: If you have contacts in the Kenyan telecom industry, list them (with permission) in your application. This is a major plus and can set you apart.

    7. Be ready for a remote interview: The interview may be conducted remotely with the Jordan head office. Test your tech, dress professionally, and have a quiet space. Show you can communicate clearly across cultures.

    8. Show commercial acumen: Expect questions on negotiation and closing deals. Prepare examples of how you've negotiated terms, handled objections, and won contracts. Demonstrate you think beyond the sale to long-term partnerships.
