    Master the Telecom Operator Landscape

This role is about more than selling—it's about navigating the complex web of telecom operators, VAS providers, and digital partners. To succeed, you need to understand how decisions are made and who holds the keys to partnerships.

    1. Map the Decision-Makers: Before you even apply, research the key telecom operators in Kenya like Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom. Identify the heads of VAS, partnerships, and billing. Knowing their names and priorities will show you're already thinking like a sales executive.

    2. Quantify Your Wins: In your CV, don't just say you increased sales—say by how much. For example, 'Grew VAS revenue by 30% in 12 months.' Numbers speak louder than adjectives.

    3. Show You Know VAS and DCB: Be ready to discuss specific VAS products, DCB integration challenges, and how aggregator models work. This isn't just buzzword bingo—it's the core of the job.

    4. Prepare for a Remote Work Test: Since the role is remote, expect questions about how you manage your time, communicate with a head office in Jordan, and stay productive without supervision. Have concrete examples ready.

    5. Leverage Your Network: If you have existing contacts in the Kenyan telecom industry, mention them. The posting says it's highly preferred, so don't be shy about who you know.

    6. Understand the Market: Research the latest trends in mobile content, mobile money integration, and digital services in Kenya. Being able to speak to these trends will set you apart.

    7. Negotiate Like a Pro: Be ready to discuss how you've negotiated commercial terms in the past. What was the situation, what did you do, and what was the outcome? This shows you can handle the commercial side.

    8. Show You're a Self-Starter: The role requires working independently. Share examples of times you took initiative, solved problems on your own, and drove results without constant supervision.
