    Job Description

As the Marketing Manager, Middle East and Africa (MEA), you will be responsible for designing and executing programs that build pipeline, strengthen brand presence, and accelerate revenue across the region. You will own end-to-end regional marketing strategy with a heavy emphasis on field events, account-based marketing (ABM), and pipeline-generating campaigns that directly support the MEA sales team. This role reports into the Senior Director of Marketing GTM Strategy and is based in South Africa or Nairobi, Kenya.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own the end-to-end planning and execution of Middle East and Africa events — including owned events, sponsored industry conferences, roundtables, webinars and executive dinners — aligned to pipeline and revenue goals.
    • Build and maintain a MEA events calendar, managing logistics, vendor relationships, budget, and post-event follow-up to ensure measurable ROI.
    • Partner with the sales team to ensure event audiences reflect target account lists, and that every event ties to a clear pipeline outcome.
    • Track and report on event performance including attendee quality, influenced pipeline, and cost-per-opportunity.
    • Partner with the Growth Marketing team to design and execute ABM programs targeting high-priority MEA accounts in collaboration with sales leadership.
    • Use account intelligence to both inform campaigns and support the regional sellers.
    • Measure ABM effectiveness at the account level, reporting on account engagement, pipeline created, and influenced revenue.
    • Own regional pipeline contribution targets, developing programs that generate qualified opportunities for the MEA sales team.
    • Build and execute integrated campaigns — across email, paid, content, and events — that move target accounts through the funnel.
    • Partner with the global Growth Marketing team to localize and adapt global campaigns for the MEA markets, including messaging, channels, and timing.
    • Maintain a consistent drumbeat of regional campaigns, adapting quickly based on performance data and sales feedback.
    • Act as the primary marketing partner to the MEA sales team, building a close working relationship with sales leadership to align on pipeline goals, target accounts, and priorities.
    • Collaborate with content, digital, and brand teams to pull global resources into regional execution — you are a multiplier, not a solo function.
    • Provide MEA market insights, competitive intelligence, and buyer feedback to inform global marketing strategy and messaging.
    • Work with the Revenue Operations team to develop regionally relevant sales enablement materials and outreach.
    • Collaborate with the team's Africa-focused marketing and PR agency to scale efforts across the continent.
    • Track, analyze, and report on regional marketing performance against brand awareness, pipeline, engagement.
    • Continuously test and iterate on program approaches, applying data-driven insights to improve outcomes over time.

    Required Qualifications

    • Deep understanding of the cultural differences country-to-country across the region.
    • Pan-African marketing experience.
    • 7-9 years of B2B marketing experience, with a strong track record in field marketing, events, or demand generation roles, ideally within a high-growth technology company.
    • Demonstrated experience running field events end-to-end — from strategy and planning through to execution and post-event reporting.
    • Hands-on experience building and executing ABM programs, including target account selection, campaign orchestration, and measurement.
    • Experience working closely with sales teams and an understanding of how marketing contributes to the revenue funnel.
    • Experience working across time zones as part of a global team.
    • Experience marketing to NGOs and/or Governments is a plus.
    • Strong project management skills — able to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously with a high degree of organization and attention to detail.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign data, draw actionable insights, and present results clearly to stakeholders.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and channels.

Show You Can Drive Pipeline, Not Just Plan Events

This role lives at the intersection of field marketing and revenue. Hiring managers will probe how you've turned events and ABM into measurable pipeline, not just brand buzz. Come with numbers and stories that prove you can own targets.

    1. Quantify your event impact: For every event you list on your CV, state the pipeline influenced, opportunities created, or cost-per-opportunity. If you don't have exact numbers, estimate and label them as estimates. Hiring managers want to see you think in ROI terms.

    2. Prepare an ABM case study: Walk through one ABM program you ran end-to-end: how you selected accounts, orchestrated campaigns, and measured account engagement. Be ready to discuss what you'd do differently.

    3. Show sales partnership: Expect questions about how you've aligned with sales leadership. Have examples of how you've built trust, shared goals, and adapted based on sales feedback.

    4. Demonstrate cultural fluency: The posting stresses cultural differences across MEA. Share specific examples of how you've localized campaigns or messaging for different countries or audiences.

    5. Highlight project management: You'll juggle multiple workstreams. Show your system for staying organized—whether it's tools, processes, or team rituals—and give an example of a complex project you delivered on time.

    6. Be ready to talk data: You'll need to interpret campaign data and present insights. Prepare to explain how you've used analytics to iterate on a campaign or event.

    7. Show your multiplier mindset: This role is about pulling global resources into regional execution. Give examples of how you've collaborated with content, design, or PR teams to amplify your efforts.

    8. Know Andela's mission: Andela is a talent network. Understand their business and how marketing supports their growth in Africa and the Middle East. Show you're aligned with their low-ego, owner mentality.
