    Job Description

    The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for coordinating, checking, and approving Bills of Quantities and specifications, as well as technical administration, staff coordination, and liaison with other technical departments. The role involves contract administration and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Co-ordination, checking and approval of Bills of Quantities and specifications.
    • Technical Administration including dealing with correspondence, reports and papers on Policy Matters of Quantity Surveying nature.
    • Co-ordination of staff matters including Schemes of Service, Manpower projections, staff training and development, Departmental Budget and Estimate of Expenditure.
    • Liaison with other Technical Departments and contract administration.
    • Any other relevant duties assigned by Supervisor.

    Required Qualifications

    • Master of Arts degree in Building Economics or its equivalent from recognized institution plus at least nine (9) years relevant work experience, at least three (3) years at the level of a Quantity Surveyor grade 12 or its equivalent.
    • Bachelor of Arts degree in Building Economics or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
    • Registration with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors of Kenya.
    • Valid practicing license.
    • Computer literate.
