Show Your Security Command Experience in the CV

This role is for a seasoned security professional, likely with a police or military background. The hiring team will look for evidence of leadership, incident management, and integrity. Your CV must reflect your years of service, rank, and specific security achievements.

    1. Highlight your rank and clean discharge: Clearly state your rank (e.g., Sergeant, Warrant Officer) and attach your discharge certificate. This is a key requirement, so make it prominent.

    2. Detail your crime prevention record: Quantify your achievements, such as number of incidents prevented, successful operations, or improvements in security protocols. Use numbers to show impact.

    3. Show your experience with senior officer protection: If you have protected high-ranking officials, describe the scope and responsibilities. This directly matches the duty of being in charge of senior officers' security.

    4. Emphasize your duty officer experience: Explain your roles as a duty officer, including shift management, emergency response, and coordination with other security agencies.

    5. Prove your computer literacy: List specific software you are proficient in, such as MS Office, security surveillance systems, or incident reporting tools. This is a stated requirement.

    6. Prepare for behavioral questions: Expect questions about handling riots, crisis situations, and ethical dilemmas. Have concrete examples ready that demonstrate sound judgment and composure under pressure.

    7. Align your application with the university context: Research University of Kabianga and its campus security needs. Tailor your cover letter to show you understand the unique challenges of a university environment.

    8. Ensure your application is flawless: Since the application process is strict, double-check that all documents are merged into one PDF, correctly addressed, and submitted before the deadline. Any error could disqualify you.
