Advanced English required.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Define and execute risk-based testing strategies for software projects.

    • Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and QA teams throughout the SDLC.
    • Support testing activities across multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced environments.
    • Partner with Automation Engineers to identify and implement automation opportunities.
    • Contribute to QA process improvements, testing infrastructure enhancements, and best practices.
    • Mentor junior QA Engineers and support their technical development.
    • Communicate testing progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.

    Required Qualifications

    • 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and/or Software Development.
    • Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle SDLC.
    • Strong experience testing web-based, mobile, and multi-tier applications.
    • Advanced test planning and test strategy development skills.
    • Experience with functional testing and/or performance/load testing tools.
    • Experience testing database-driven applications and writing SQL queries.
    • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience working in Agile environments.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in dynamic environments.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
    • Experience with Selenium and test automation frameworks.

    Show Your Test Strategy Blueprint

Senior QA roles hinge on your ability to plan, not just execute. Hiring managers will probe how you design risk-based strategies and drive quality across the SDLC. Bring a concrete example of a test plan you built and the metrics you used to steer it.

    1. Map your SDLC impact: Walk through a project where your testing caught a critical defect early. Explain how you influenced requirements, design, and release decisions. Quantify the cost saved or downtime avoided if possible.

    2. Prove your automation mindset: Even if the role isn't pure automation, show you can identify what to automate and why. Mention a time you introduced a Selenium script or collaborated with automation engineers to cut regression time.

    3. Prepare for SQL and database questions: Expect hands-on tasks like writing joins or validating data integrity. Rehearse common queries and how you use them to trace defects in multi-tier apps.

    4. Show leadership without a title: Describe how you mentored a junior QA or led a process improvement. Use the STAR method to highlight your influence and the measurable outcome.

    5. Speak the language of risk: Use terms like risk-based testing, test coverage, and defect severity. Show you prioritize tests based on business impact, not just feature coverage.

    6. Tailor your CV for the screen: Highlight 6+ years of QA experience, SDLC expertise, and tools like Selenium. Use bullet points that mirror the posting's keywords to pass ATS filters.

    7. Practice Agile scenarios: Be ready to discuss how you adapt testing in sprints, handle changing requirements, and communicate progress in stand-ups. Give an example of a tight deadline you managed.

    8. Ask about the growth path: Since the role can lead to QA Lead or Manager, show interest in that trajectory. Ask how the company develops leaders and what success looks like in the first year.

CareerSasa Safety Alert: Never pay employers or agencies for interviews, training, or job placement. Does a job request payment? Report it immediately using the "Flag" button. While CareerSasa vets job postings thoroughly, always verify opportunities independently.
