    Mirema School is a Christian day and boarding institution dedicated to holistic education and character formation. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Teacher of Mathematics and French to join our Academic Department. The ideal candidate will bring both numerical precision and linguistic flair to the classroom, inspiring students to excel in these two diverse but complementary subjects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned lessons in Mathematics and French.
    • Develop subject-specific schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning materials.
    • Use diverse teaching strategies to cater for varied learning styles and academic abilities.
    • Collaborate with colleagues and the curriculum coordinator on cross-curricular projects and assessments.
    • Use real-life applications and interactive methods to enhance subject comprehension and relevance.
    • Maintain a disciplined and positive classroom environment.
    • Assign, assess, and provide timely feedback on classwork, homework, and exams.
    • Prepare students effectively for internal and external examinations.
    • Monitor individual academic progress and provide targeted support.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Secondary Teacher Education specialization in Mathematics & French
    • 2+ years teaching experience in a secondary or junior secondary school setting
    • TSC Registration Teachers Service Commission
    • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Classroom management and child care awareness
    • Basic computer literacy for lesson preparation and reporting
    • First aid training is an added advantage
    • Organized, enthusiastic, and passionate about education and creativity
