Master the Operations Backbone: From Travel to Contracts

This role sits at the center of daily operations, touching travel, contracts, service desk, and employee engagement. Hiring managers will look for someone who can juggle multiple workflows without dropping the ball, and who communicates clearly with everyone from vendors to team members.

    1. Show your organizational system: On your CV, highlight how you've managed multiple calendars, travel bookings, or contract files. Give a concrete example of a time you coordinated a complex travel arrangement or kept a contract database error-free.

    2. Prove your G-Suite fluency: Be ready to demonstrate your skills in Google Sheets, Docs, and Drive. Mention any experience with dashboards or data visualization, even if it's simple, as this role involves supporting metrics and reporting.

    3. Prepare for service desk scenarios: Expect questions about how you handle routine requests and troubleshoot issues. Think of a time you resolved a problem for a colleague or customer, and explain your process step by step.

    4. Understand contract basics: Even if you haven't managed contracts, familiarize yourself with key terms like 'issuance', 'terms', and 'performance metrics'. Show that you can handle confidential documents with care.

    5. Highlight your communication skills: This role involves drafting emails and announcements. Bring samples of written communication you've created, or be ready to describe how you tailor messages to different audiences.

    6. Show you're a team player: You'll work with multiple teams like Cloud, Core, and Resource. Give examples of how you've collaborated across departments to get things done.

    7. Be ready to talk about risk: Even basic risk awareness is valued. Think about how you've identified potential issues in past roles and what you did to mitigate them.

    8. Ask smart questions: In the interview, ask about the tools they use for service desk and knowledge management, and how they measure success in this role. This shows you're already thinking about how to contribute.
