Master the Espresso Machine Before You Apply

This role expects you to hit the ground running. Your CV and interview should prove you can handle a busy coffee counter without hand-holding.

    1. Show your hands-on hours: List specific coffee equipment you've used, like La Marzocco or similar. Mention your daily output during peak hours.

    2. Prove your latte art basics: If you have photos or videos of your latte art, include them. It shows you care about presentation.

    3. Know your coffee theory: Be ready to explain extraction times, grind size, and milk steaming. Interviewers often probe this.

    4. Highlight QSR experience: Emphasize your time in quick-service restaurants. Mention speed and consistency under pressure.

    5. Show inventory awareness: Talk about how you tracked stock or flagged low supplies. It's a plus for this role.

    6. Prepare for a practical test: Expect to make drinks on the spot. Practice your routine to be smooth and clean.

    7. Emphasize flexibility: Confirm you can work weekends and holidays. This is often a deal-breaker.

    8. Ask smart questions: Inquire about the coffee blend, volume, and team size. It shows genuine interest.
