Show Paid Media ROI Before You Walk In

This role lives or dies by numbers: CPL, CPA, ROAS, CTR. The hiring team will probe how you've turned ad spend into pipeline, not just clicks. Bring proof you can optimize across Google, Meta, and LinkedIn while keeping the funnel healthy.

    1. Quantify your wins: On your CV, lead with metrics: reduced CPL by X%, lifted ROAS from X to Y, or grew qualified leads by Z. Use numbers from your past campaigns to show you think in business outcomes, not just media metrics.

    2. Prepare a campaign teardown: Be ready to walk through a recent campaign: how you structured it, which levers you pulled, and what you'd do differently. Show you can diagnose underperformance and act fast.

    3. Know your platforms deeply: Expect questions on Google Ads, Meta, and LinkedIn specifics: bidding strategies, audience targeting, and measurement. Brush up on the latest features and best practices.

    4. Show CRO chops: This role owns landing pages and conversion journeys. Have examples of A/B tests you ran, what you changed, and the lift you got. Mention tools like Google Optimize or VWO.

    5. Connect SEO to paid: You'll own SEO too. Explain how you'd align organic and paid search to maximize visibility and efficiency. Show you understand keyword research and content optimization.

    6. Demonstrate CRM and automation fluency: You'll build lead nurturing journeys. Talk about your experience with marketing automation (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) and how you've used CRM data to segment and convert.

    7. Emphasize collaboration: You'll work with sales, product, brand, and agencies. Give examples of how you've aligned with stakeholders to improve lead quality and follow-up.

    8. Ask sharp questions: In the interview, ask about their current funnel, what's working, and what's not. It shows you're already thinking about their business, not just the role.
