    Job Description

    This role involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of all facilities, systems, and electrical equipment to ensure they are maintained to a standard that prevents deterioration beyond normal wear and tear. The position requires leading a team of electrical technicians, developing preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with safety and government regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all facilities, systems, and electrical equipment as identified in the technical sub-annex, ensuring they are maintained to a standard that prevents deterioration beyond normal wear and tear.
    • Inspect, evaluate, and assess the condition of electrical systems and equipment to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety, performance, and government regulations.
    • Identify deficiencies and implement timely corrective actions to maintain the full life expectancy of electrical facilities, systems, and equipment.
    • Lead a team of electrical technicians, providing guidance and oversight for electrical maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and repairs.
    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems to ensure continuous and reliable operation.
    • Coordinate with other departments, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of electrical maintenance activities into facility operations.
    • Monitor and manage electrical system performance metrics, ensuring compliance with contract standards and government regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs using computerized maintenance management systems CMMS.
    • Ensure all electrical systems comply with applicable codes, standards, and best practices, including relevant safety regulations and procedures.
    • Provide training and support for team members to ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote professional development.
    • Respond to electrical system emergencies and resolve issues promptly to minimize disruptions to operations.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and quality of facility and electrical system maintenance programs.
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.

    Required Qualifications

    • 5-7 years of experience working in electrical maintenance and repair, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
    • Licensed as a Journeyman or Master Electrician or equivalent certification.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in electrical systems or related fields are highly preferred.
    • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for industrial and commercial facilities.
    • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and best practices for electrical equipment.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for electrical systems.
    • Excellent leadership and organizational skills to manage teams and prioritize maintenance schedules.
    • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to electrical systems and facility maintenance e.g., OSHA, NFPA, IEEE.
    • Proficiency in using CMMS or other maintenance and work order systems to track and report maintenance activities.
    • Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
    • Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
    • Employees must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.
    • Passport must be valid for a minimum of one 1 year or more at the time of hiring.
    • Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
    • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment.
    • Prior experience in an austere OCONUS Outside the Continental United States environment with a multi-national workforce is preferred.
