    Show Your Hands-On Tech Curiosity

This ICT Trainee role is about proving you can handle real-world tech problems, not just theory. Hiring managers want to see you've tinkered with hardware, set up networks, or written small scripts on your own.

    1. Highlight practical projects: On your CV, list any personal or academic projects where you built a PC, configured a router, or wrote a simple program. Describe what you did and the outcome, like setting up a home lab to practice networking.

    2. Prepare for troubleshooting scenarios: Expect questions like 'A user's computer won't connect to Wi-Fi, what do you do?' Walk through your logical steps: check physical connections, restart, verify IP settings, then escalate. Show you can stay calm and methodical.

    3. Brush up on networking basics: Review IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN concepts. Be ready to explain them simply, as you'll need to assist staff with connectivity issues.

    4. Show your programming side: Even if it's just a small Python script or a simple website, bring examples. It demonstrates you can code and are ready to support software development tasks.

    5. Emphasize soft skills: As a trainee, you'll interact with many people. Highlight your communication skills, patience, and ability to explain technical things to non-technical staff.

    6. Research the company: Learn about CDL Human Resource's services and how ICT supports their operations. Mention specific ways you could contribute to their technology projects.

    7. Ask smart questions: In the interview, ask about the team's current projects, what technologies they use, and what a typical day looks like for the ICT team. It shows genuine interest.

    8. Show willingness to learn: Emphasize your eagerness to learn new tools and technologies. Give an example of a time you taught yourself a new skill, like learning a new programming language online.
