    Master the Telco Negotiation Room

This role lives at the intersection of commercial deals and data. Hiring managers will probe how you've grown subscriber revenue and handled tough renewal talks. Show them you can walk into a telco boardroom and hold your own.

    1. Quantify your partnership wins: On your CV, list specific revenue growth percentages, subscriber gains, or ARPU improvements you drove through telco or distribution deals. Numbers speak louder than vague claims.

    2. Show GA4 fluency beyond basics: Be ready to explain how you've used GA4 to spot conversion drop-offs or retention trends. Mention specific reports or dashboards you've built.

    3. Prepare a negotiation story: Have a concise example of a tough commercial negotiation you led, what the stakes were, and how you secured a better deal. Focus on your preparation and tactics.

    4. Demonstrate content-to-revenue thinking: Talk about a content campaign that didn't just get views but drove sign-ups or reduced churn. Show you measure content by business impact.

    5. Highlight distributed team leadership: Give an example of managing a team across different countries or regions. Emphasize how you set targets, communicated, and held people accountable without micromanaging.

    6. Know your subscriber metrics cold: Be ready to discuss ARPU, churn, and subscriber acquisition cost in detail. Show you can interpret these numbers and make decisions from them.

    7. Practice stakeholder communication: This role interfaces with senior external stakeholders. Prepare to articulate complex commercial ideas clearly and confidently, as if in a boardroom.

    8. Research the company's market: Understand the African telecom landscape and the company's position. Bring fresh ideas for partnerships or content strategies that could grow their subscriber base.
