    Master the Hospitality Sales Conversation

This role is about more than pushing products—it's about becoming a trusted advisor to hotels and hospitality businesses. Hiring managers will look for evidence you can build relationships, handle objections, and close deals in a consultative way.

    1. Show you know the hospitality world: Before applying, research common pain points in hotel housekeeping and maintenance. Mention specific challenges like turnaround times or equipment reliability in your cover letter to show you understand the industry.

    2. Prove your CRM fluency: Be ready to talk about how you've used CRM tools to track leads, follow up, and report on your pipeline. If you've used Zoho, Salesforce, or similar, give concrete examples of how you kept data clean and used it to prioritize.

    3. Prepare a cold call pitch: Since cold calling is a key duty, practice a 30-second pitch that hooks a busy hotel manager. Focus on a benefit like cost savings or efficiency, and be ready to handle a common objection.

    4. Quantify your sales achievements: On your CV, use numbers to show your impact—like percentage growth in sales, number of new clients acquired, or average deal size. This makes your experience tangible.

    5. Understand the product line: Even if you don't have deep cleaning equipment knowledge, show willingness to learn. Research common types of equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, pressure washers) and their applications in hospitality.

    6. Highlight your follow-up skills: The job stresses after-sales service and follow-ups. Share an example where your follow-up turned a one-time buyer into a repeat client or resolved an issue that saved a relationship.

    7. Show you can work independently: This role requires self-motivation. Give an example of a time you managed your own schedule, hit targets without close supervision, or took initiative to find new leads.

    8. Prepare for a practical test: Some sales interviews include a role-play or case study. Practice responding to a mock inquiry from a hotel manager, including preparing a quotation and explaining product features.

CareerSasa Safety Alert: Never pay employers or agencies for interviews, training, or job placement. Does a job request payment? Report it immediately using the "Flag" button. While CareerSasa vets job postings thoroughly, always verify opportunities independently.
