Master the Cold Call: Turning Leads into Food Partners

This internship is all about hustle and relationship-building. You'll be the first point of contact for potential food partners, so your pitch and persistence matter. Here's how to show you're ready to convert cold leads into warm ones.

    1. Hone your cold calling script: Practice a concise, energetic pitch that highlights the value of the platform. Be ready to handle objections and pivot to benefits like increased visibility and delivery reach.

    2. Show you know the food delivery landscape: Research the local market, competitors, and what restaurants need. Mention specific trends or challenges in your interview to demonstrate insight.

    3. Prove your CRM comfort: Familiarize yourself with common CRM tools (like Salesforce or HubSpot). Be ready to explain how you'd track leads, follow up, and manage your pipeline.

    4. Quantify your sales achievements: Even if you're an intern, highlight any sales or marketing wins—like exceeding targets or growing a client list. Use numbers to show impact.

    5. Prepare for negotiation scenarios: You'll handle contract discussions. Practice role-playing negotiations where you balance partner needs with company sustainability.

    6. Emphasize your resilience: Cold calling means rejection. Share a story where you persisted through setbacks and eventually succeeded.

    7. Learn the product inside out: Understand the courier app's features, benefits, and pricing. Be ready to explain how it helps food partners increase sales.

    8. Show you're a team player: This role works closely with operations and marketing. Give examples of collaborating across teams to solve problems or improve processes.
