Show Your Campaign Results, Not Just Your Certificates

ADMI wants a lecturer who can walk into a classroom and show real campaigns that moved numbers. Your portfolio and your ability to explain what you did and why will carry more weight than any certification alone.

    1. Lead with your portfolio: Your CV should have a clear link to your marketing portfolio. Pick 2-3 campaigns that show SEO growth, paid ads performance, or content that ranked. For each, write one line on the goal, your actions, and the result.

    2. Prepare a 10-minute teaching demo: You will likely be asked to teach a sample class. Choose a topic like 'How to do keyword research' or 'On-page SEO basics' and prepare a mini-lesson with a practical exercise. Show you can break down complex ideas simply.

    3. Know the local digital landscape: Be ready to discuss how SEO and content marketing differ in Kenya and Africa. Mention local platforms, mobile-first usage, and cost-effective strategies for small businesses. This shows you can make the content relevant to your students.

    4. Refresh your Google and Meta Ads knowledge: Even if you have certifications, review the latest features and best practices. Be prepared to answer questions on campaign structure, bidding, and measurement. You might be asked to critique a sample campaign.

    5. Show your teaching philosophy: Think about how you engage students with different learning styles. Mention how you use real-world examples, group work, or projects. ADMI wants someone who can inspire and equip the next generation of digital marketers.

    6. Highlight your analytics skills: Be specific about the tools you use: Google Analytics, Search Console, Meta Insights, etc. Give examples of how you've used data to make decisions or improve performance. This shows you can teach data-driven marketing.

    7. Connect with the ADMI mission: Research ADMI's programs and their focus on creative and digital skills. In your cover letter and interview, show you understand their goal of developing Africa's digital talent and how your experience fits that.

    8. Prepare thoughtful questions: Ask about the curriculum, the student profile, and how success is measured in the role. This shows you are serious about the position and want to contribute meaningfully.
