    Job Description

Adams Retail Hub is looking for a hands-on Social Media & Digital Marketing Intern to help grow the Hub's online presence, market available retail spaces, and support the businesses operating within the Hub. This is not an internship where you spend your day watching someone else work. You'll be creating, posting, experimenting, marketing and learning what actually gets people through the door.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage Adams Retail Hub's Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other relevant social platforms
    • Create and publish engaging daily content
    • Shoot simple photos and short-form videos/Reels/TikToks using a smartphone
    • Write captions and create simple graphics
    • Respond to comments, messages and enquiries
    • Grow followers, engagement and enquiries organically
    • Track what content works and improve it
    • Post and regularly update available shops/stalls on platforms such as Jiji and other relevant property/classified platforms
    • Create attractive listings with strong photos, descriptions and calls to action
    • Promote available retail spaces across relevant online communities and channels
    • Help generate enquiries from potential tenants
    • Help existing Adams Retail Hub vendors improve their social media presence
    • Create simple content for vendor businesses
    • Help vendors showcase their products and offers
    • Assist with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and WhatsApp Business content where required
    • Identify opportunities for collaborations between vendors and the Hub
    • Capture what is happening around the Hub
    • Create Reels/TikToks showcasing vendors, products, offers and available spaces
    • Interview vendors and customers for simple social content
    • Spot trends and turn them into relevant content quickly

    Required Qualifications

    • 1+ years of work experience with Videography
    • 1+ years of work experience with Canva
    • 1+ years of work experience with Amateur Photography
    • Send us your CV + links/examples of any social media pages, TikToks, Reels, designs or content you’ve created.
    • No formal portfolio? That's okay. Show us something you've made.
    • Applications with examples of creative work will have an advantage.
    • Know someone perfect for this? Tag them or share this post

Show Your Content Instincts Before the Interview

This internship is about doing, not watching. The hiring team wants to see that you can spot a trend, shoot a quick video, and write a caption that stops the scroll. Your application should prove that you already think like a content creator.

    1. Curate a mini portfolio: Even if you don't have a formal portfolio, gather your best TikToks, Reels, Instagram posts, or even simple designs. Put them in a Google Drive folder or a simple PDF. Make it easy for them to see your style and range.

    2. Show you know the platforms: In your cover letter or email, talk about what you've noticed working on Instagram Reels vs. TikTok. Mention specific trends or formats you'd try for a retail hub. This shows you're not just posting—you're thinking strategically.

    3. Highlight your smartphone skills: The job is all about shooting on a phone. If you have any examples of videos or photos shot on a smartphone, make sure they're front and center. Mention any editing apps you've used like CapCut or InShot.

    4. Prove you can write engaging captions: Pick one of your posts and explain why you wrote the caption the way you did. Or write a sample caption for a retail space listing. This shows you understand the connection between words and engagement.

    5. Show you're comfortable with people: The role involves interviewing vendors and customers. If you have any experience talking to people—even in a school project or volunteer work—mention it. Show you're outgoing and can draw stories out of people.

    6. Understand the business side: This isn't just about likes; it's about generating enquiries for retail spaces. Show you understand that social media is a tool for lead generation. Mention any interest in marketing or business.

    7. Be ready to learn fast: The posting mentions tools like Meta Business Suite and Jiji. Even if you haven't used them, say you're eager to learn. Show you're the kind of person who watches a tutorial and figures it out.

    8. Follow instructions: The posting specifically asks for CV plus links/examples. Make sure you send both. Missing a requirement is an instant red flag. Double-check your application before hitting send.
