    Job Description

    This role involves developing and implementing policies for space science and astronomy programmes, analyzing user needs, and coordinating stakeholder engagement. The officer will also draft frameworks for infrastructure and partnerships, review technical content, and monitor programme activities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drafting and implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines related to space science and astronomy programmes
    • Conducting initial analysis of user needs and contributing to reports and proposals for programme design
    • Coordinating stakeholder engagement efforts and promoting space science and astronomy
    • Drafting frameworks for infrastructure planning, data dissemination, or strategic partnerships
    • Collecting, organizing, and reviewing preliminary technical content for research papers and policy proposals
    • Monitoring activities within space science and astronomy programmes and assisting in preparing periodic progress reports

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Aeronautical/Aerospace, Remote Sensing, Geographical Information Science, Geo-Spatial Engineering, Surveying, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Control and Instrumentation, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
    • Proficiency in computer applications
    • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
