    Job Description

    This role involves providing specialized diagnostic and therapeutic services to adult patients, managing critical care admissions and consults in ICU and HDU, and establishing specialized clinics for conditions such as Hypertension, Diabetes, Renal, and Cardiac. The position also includes mentoring and supervising medical officers and interns, as well as leading the development of local clinical protocols and health promotion programs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide specialized diagnostic and therapeutic services to adult patients.
    • Manage critical care admissions and consults in ICU and HDU.
    • Establish and run specialized clinics: Hypertension, Diabetes, Renal, Cardiac, etc.
    • Mentor, supervise and train Medical Officers, Interns and other healthcare staff.
    • Lead development of local clinical protocols and health promotion programs.

    Required Qualifications

    • Master of Medicine MMed in Internal Medicine or equivalent post-graduate qualification recognized by KMPDC.
    • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience with active clinical practice in Internal Medicine.
    • Copy of the national identity card.
    • Certified copies of academic and professional certificates.
    • Detailed Curriculum Vitae and a cover letter clearly indicating the position applied for.
    • Copy of Pharmacist from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board Registration Certificate and Current Practicing License.
    • Fulfill the requirement of chapter (6) six of the constitution of Kenya listed in Part A.
