    Job Description

    The Technician – Masonry will maintain workshop inventories, ensure health and safety procedures, provide technical support during training, and undertake repairs and maintenance in the area of specialization. The role also involves preparing procurement specifications for workshop equipment and ensuring general cleanliness of the work area.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintaining workshop inventories by receiving and issuing tools and materials, and ensuring sufficient materials are available in the workshop.
    • Observing and ensuring that health and safety procedures are practised and providing technical support during training.
    • Ensuring proper usage, safe custody and inventory of kits, tools and equipment.
    • Undertaking repairs and maintenance in the area of specialization within the Institution.
    • Providing procurement specifications for all workshop equipment to be purchased.
    • Ensuring general cleanliness of the work area.

    Required Qualifications

    • A Diploma in Building Technology and a Craft Certificate in Masonry.
    • At least three (3) years of relevant experience.
    • Computer literacy recommended for consistency with similar positions.
