Show Leadership in Medical Equipment Lifecycle Management

This role sits at the intersection of clinical care and engineering. Hiring panels will probe how you've handled equipment procurement, maintenance scheduling, and team supervision in a health facility setting.

    1. Quantify your equipment oversight: On your CV, list the types and quantities of medical equipment you've managed. Mention any budgets you've handled for procurement or maintenance. Concrete numbers help the panel gauge your scope.

    2. Highlight your PPMO experience: Planned preventive maintenance is a core duty. Describe how you've scheduled and executed maintenance programs, reduced downtime, and ensured compliance with safety standards. Give an example of a maintenance plan you implemented.

    3. Show your training and mentoring impact: You'll train users and mentor staff. Provide examples of training sessions you've led, materials you've developed, or how you've improved staff competency. Mention any positive feedback or outcomes.

    4. Demonstrate strategic thinking: The role involves health technology assessments and input into facility design. Prepare to discuss how you've evaluated new technologies, made procurement recommendations, or contributed to infrastructure planning.

    5. Prepare for technical questions: Expect questions on medical equipment standards, safety regulations, and troubleshooting. Review common equipment types and their maintenance needs. Be ready to explain how you stay current with technological advances.

    6. Emphasize your management training: The certificate in Senior Management Course is a requirement. Highlight how this training has shaped your leadership approach. Give examples of managing teams or projects.

    7. Align with public service values: As a county government role, emphasize your commitment to public health and service delivery. Discuss how you've worked within government or similar settings, if applicable.

    8. Prepare your documents: Ensure your CV and certificates are ready. The application is online, so have digital copies of your degrees, certificates, and any relevant testimonials. Double-check that your application is complete before submitting.
