Show Commercial Impact in Your Brand Marketing CV

Hiring managers for this role will look for proof that your marketing moves revenue and usage metrics, not just awareness. They want someone who can build a business case and track results with discipline.

    1. Quantify your past wins: On your CV, use numbers to show how your campaigns lifted sales, usage, or loyalty. For example, "Increased repeat purchases by 15% through a targeted loyalty campaign" beats a vague duty list.

    2. Prepare an ARPU story: Be ready to explain how you've used metrics like average revenue per user to guide decisions. Walk through a specific campaign where you set a baseline, ran an intervention, and measured the outcome.

    3. Show you know the field: This role works with hub networks and field teams. Talk about any experience with agent networks, last-mile distribution, or field incentives—even if it was in a different industry.

    4. Build a mini business case: Before the interview, draft a one-page ROI framework for a marketing spend decision. Practice defending your assumptions and showing how you'd track results.

    5. Highlight loyalty programme experience: If you've designed or managed a rewards or incentive programme, detail it. Explain the structure, the customer behaviour you targeted, and the measurable impact.

    6. Connect with the product: EasyCook is a pay-as-you-go LPG product. Show you understand the barriers to adoption and usage for cooking gas in Kenya, and how marketing can address them.

    7. Prepare for agency management questions: Be ready to describe how you've briefed and managed agencies or vendors. Give a concrete example of a campaign where you coordinated media, activations, or trade materials.

    8. Show your analytical toolkit: Mention the tools you use for tracking and reporting—spreadsheets, dashboards, or marketing analytics platforms. Demonstrate how you turn data into decisions, not just pretty reports.

CareerSasa Safety Alert: Never pay employers or agencies for interviews, training, or job placement. Does a job request payment? Report it immediately using the "Flag" button. While CareerSasa vets job postings thoroughly, always verify opportunities independently.
