Show You Can Turn Data into Decisions

This role sits at the intersection of business and data. Hiring managers want proof you can translate raw numbers into commercial strategy and keep stakeholders aligned.

    1. Quantify your impact: On your CV, show specific examples where your analysis led to cost savings or revenue growth. Use numbers like 'reduced reporting time by 30%' or 'identified $500K in savings'.

    2. Master the tools: Be ready to discuss your experience with SQL, Power BI, or similar tools. Even if not listed, these are common in data roles.

    3. Prepare a case study: Have a story ready about a time you managed a cross-functional project. Explain how you handled conflicting priorities.

    4. Know the industry: Understand FMCG and manufacturing challenges. Mention how data can improve supply chain or marketing.

    5. Show stakeholder savvy: Give examples of how you've influenced senior leaders. This role requires constant communication with sponsors.

    6. Highlight Agile experience: If you've worked in Scrum or DevOps, emphasize it. They want someone who can operate in a fast-paced delivery framework.

    7. Demonstrate cost awareness: Talk about how you've tracked budgets or managed costs in past projects. This is key for the cost tracking responsibility.

    8. Ask smart questions: In the interview, ask about their data maturity and how they measure success for this role. It shows you're strategic.
