Show You Can Drive Projects and Deliver Results

This role is about being the person who gets things done on the ground. Hiring managers will be looking for proof that you can juggle multiple tasks, keep stakeholders in the loop, and solve problems before they escalate.

    1. Highlight your project coordination wins: On your CV, give specific examples of projects you've coordinated from start to finish. Mention the scope, your role, and the outcome. For instance, "Coordinated a 3-month office fit-out, managing vendors and timelines, delivered 2 days early."

    2. Show your driver's license and willingness to travel: Make it obvious you have a valid license and are comfortable driving for work. This is a key requirement, so don't bury it. You could add it to your profile summary or a dedicated skills section.

    3. Prepare to talk about your sales and negotiation experience: Even if the role is operations, they want someone who can handle client and vendor conversations. Think of a time you negotiated a better price or convinced a client to agree to a timeline. Be ready to share that story.

    4. Demonstrate your problem-solving in action: Expect questions like "Tell me about a time you had to fix something quickly." Have a clear example where you identified an issue, took action, and resolved it without waiting for instructions. Structure it with the situation, action, and result.

    5. Emphasize your communication skills: This role involves constant updates to leadership and coordination with many people. Show that you can write clear, concise reports and that you're comfortable speaking with different stakeholders. You might include a sample report or update from a past role in your portfolio.

    6. Be ready to discuss how you manage multiple priorities: They want someone who can handle many tasks without dropping the ball. Talk about your system for tracking tasks, like using a project management tool or a simple tracker. Give an example of a busy week and how you prioritized.

    7. Show your integrity and professionalism: Since you'll handle sensitive information, they need to trust you. In the interview, be honest, maintain eye contact, and show that you take confidentiality seriously. You can mention a time you handled confidential data responsibly.

    8. Ask smart questions about their operations: Show you're genuinely interested in their business. Ask about their current project pipeline, the biggest operational challenges they face, or how they measure success in this role. This shows you're already thinking like a team member.
