The role requires strong project coordination and analytical skills to support a five-month assignment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate a priority sustainable and inclusive finance programme workstream, maintaining work plans and milestone trackers, supporting stakeholder engagement and follow-up actions, preparing briefs, presentations and documentation, and completing a final status and handover note.
    • Support delivery of a sustainable capital markets convening, including the delivery tracker, internal and external inputs, presentation and briefing materials, pre-event action logs, and post-event follow-up note.
    • Coordinate capital markets communications and knowledge products, including a communications and events work plan, sector playbook, flagship initiative documentation, success stories, and agreed briefs, presentations, blogs, or newsletter content.
    • Maintain portfolio coordination and reporting materials, including an up-to-date tracker or dashboard, donor and internal reporting inputs, organised documentation and action logs, and a final consolidated handover pack.

    Required Qualifications

    • Programme or project coordination experience across work plans, milestones, risks, consultants, and multi-stakeholder activities.
    • Experience preparing high-quality briefs, reports, presentations, or communications products for diverse audiences.
    • Experience coordinating internal teams, external consultants, partners, service providers, or similar delivery stakeholders.
    • Strong planning and tracking capability, including milestone management, action logs, risk updates, and handover documentation.
    • Strong research, analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to translate workstream inputs into clear, client-ready materials.
    • Ability to manage several concurrent workstreams and maintain quality under tight delivery timelines.
    • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or a related field from a recognised university.
    • Excellent written and spoken English. French and/or local African languages would be advantageous.

    • Strong stakeholder management and follow-through.
    • Able to work independently within an output-based consultancy.
    • Responsive to agreed reporting rhythms and review points.
    • Strong attention to detail and delivery discipline.

Show You Can Run a Multi-Stakeholder Workstream

This role is about turning messy inputs into clean, client-ready deliverables. Hiring managers will look for proof you can juggle trackers, briefs, and stakeholders without dropping the ball.

    1. Map your delivery toolkit: On your CV, list the exact tools you use for milestone tracking, action logs, and dashboards (e.g., MS Project, Trello, Excel). Give a concrete example of a time you kept a complex workstream on schedule.

    2. Prove your writing chops: Bring samples of briefs, reports, or presentations you've prepared for diverse audiences. Be ready to explain how you tailored tone and detail for different stakeholders.

    3. Prepare a stakeholder map: Think through a past project and sketch how you mapped dependencies and communication rhythms. Interviewers will probe how you keep everyone aligned.

    4. Show your sustainable finance edge: If you have any exposure to green bonds, ESG reporting, or financial sector development, highlight it. Even a course or self-study shows genuine interest.

    5. Practice translating jargon: You'll need to turn technical inputs into plain-language materials. Prepare a short example of how you'd explain a complex capital markets concept to a non-expert.

    6. Demonstrate follow-through: Give a specific story where you chased down action items and ensured nothing slipped. This role values discipline and responsiveness.

    7. Be ready for output-based questions: Since it's a consultancy, expect questions about managing your own time and delivering under tight deadlines. Share how you prioritise and stay organised.

    8. Know the Kenyan market: Show awareness of local capital markets and sustainable finance initiatives. Mentioning relevant local players or recent developments can set you apart.
