How to Apply: Send your resume and cover letter to advisory@chasp.co.ke by 31st August 2026.

Show Your Digital Storytelling Chops Before the Interview

This internship is about turning CHASP Advisory's work into compelling stories across digital platforms. Hiring managers will look for proof you can write, design, and engage audiences — not just talk about it.

    1. Build a mini portfolio: Compile 3–5 samples of your best writing, social media posts, or graphics. Even if they're from class projects or personal blogs, they show you can produce. Make it a simple PDF or link to a portfolio site.

    2. Master the tools they mention: Get comfortable with Canva, basic Adobe tools, and social media schedulers like Buffer or Hootsuite. Practice creating a branded post for a fictional NGO to demonstrate your skill.

    3. Understand the development sector: CHASP Advisory works in development communications. Read up on how NGOs tell impact stories and engage stakeholders. Mention a specific example in your cover letter.

    4. Prepare for a writing test: Many communications roles ask for a sample article or social media caption. Practice writing a short blog post about a development topic, keeping it clear and engaging.

    5. Show your social media savvy: Be ready to discuss how you've grown an account or engaged an audience. Even a personal account with good engagement counts. Talk about metrics like reach and likes.

    6. Highlight your organizational skills: The role involves managing content calendars and media libraries. Give examples of how you've organized projects or events in the past, like a campus club or volunteer work.

    7. Practice your editing eye: They want accuracy and brand consistency. Proofread everything you submit — your CV, cover letter, and any samples. A typo could cost you the role.

    8. Ask smart questions: In the interview, ask about their current communication challenges and how they measure success. This shows you're thinking about impact, not just tasks.
