Master the Art of Supporting a High-Stakes Leader

This role demands more than just a law degree — it requires a sharp, discreet, and proactive mindset. Hiring managers will look for evidence that you can handle sensitive information and juggle multiple priorities without missing a beat.

    1. Showcase your discretion: In your CV and interview, highlight experiences where you handled confidential matters. Mention specific examples like managing sensitive documents or communications for a senior leader.

    2. Prove your organizational skills: Use bullet points to show how you managed calendars, coordinated travel, or organized events. Quantify where possible, e.g., 'Managed a calendar of 10+ appointments weekly.'

    3. Demonstrate legal analysis ability: Even if you're a fresh graduate, include coursework or internships where you reviewed contracts or conducted legal research. Mention any exposure to commercial law or para-legal work.

    4. Highlight tech proficiency: List specific Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and any social media management platforms you've used. Consider adding a brief example of how you used these tools to improve efficiency.

    5. Prepare for time zone flexibility: In your cover letter, state your willingness to occasionally work outside standard hours to align with international time zones. This shows you understand the role's demands.

    6. Emphasize your 'can-do' attitude: Share a story where you took initiative on a task beyond your job description. This role values proactive problem-solvers who don't wait to be told what to do.

    7. Build a strong communication portfolio: Prepare examples of professional emails, reports, or presentations you've created. The Chairman will rely on you to convey instructions clearly to third parties.

    8. Research the Chairman's ventures: Before the interview, learn about the Chairman's business interests and foundation. This will help you tailor your answers and show genuine interest in the role.
