How to Apply: Qualified and interested candidates should share their CVs to jobs@employd.co.ke with the subject line 'Customer Relations Officer'. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Master the Art of the Property Tour

In this role, your ability to turn a walk-through into a compelling pitch will make or break your sales numbers. Hiring managers will look for candidates who can think on their feet, handle objections, and close deals with confidence.

    1. Tailor your CV to highlight sales wins: Quantify your achievements in previous sales roles, such as 'exceeded monthly quota by 20%' or 'closed 15 deals in a quarter'. Use numbers to show you can deliver results.

    2. Prepare for objection handling scenarios: Be ready to answer questions like 'Why is this property overpriced?' or 'What are the payment terms?' Practice calm, data-backed responses that address buyer concerns.

    3. Show you know the Nairobi property market: Research current trends, average prices in key areas, and competitor listings. Mention specific neighborhoods and price points during the interview to demonstrate local knowledge.

    4. Emphasize your CRM skills: If you have used tools like Salesforce or HubSpot, highlight that. If not, show willingness to learn quickly and mention any basic CRM familiarity.

    5. Demonstrate emotional intelligence: Share examples of how you handled difficult clients or turned a complaint into a positive experience. This role requires patience and empathy.

    6. Practice your pitch: You may be asked to give a mock property tour. Prepare a structured walk-through that highlights key features, financial benefits, and lifestyle advantages.

    7. Understand the legal side: Familiarize yourself with the basics of property contracts and payment structures in Kenya. This will show you are serious about guiding buyers through the process.

    8. Follow up professionally: After the interview, send a thank-you email reiterating your interest and summarizing why you are the right fit. This shows initiative and attention to detail.
