How to Apply: Interested and qualified candidates should apply through the CITAM careers portal at citam.mcidirecthire.com.

Show Your Editing Reel and Audio Chops

This role sits at the heart of CITAM's digital ministry, so your application needs to prove you can handle both video and audio production under tight deadlines. Hiring managers will be looking for a portfolio that shows broadcast-ready work, not just classroom projects.

    1. Build a targeted showreel: Put together a 2-3 minute reel that highlights your best video editing, motion graphics, and audio mixing work. Make sure it includes a mix of live recordings, podcasts, and promotional clips to mirror what you'll do at CITAM.

    2. Master the tools they use: Be ready to talk about your workflow in Avid Media Composer, Premiere, After Effects, and Final Cut. If you have experience with audio consoles and equalizers, mention specific projects where you used them.

    3. Show your faith and fit: Since this is a church role, your personal testimony and alignment with CITAM's statement of faith matter. Be prepared to discuss how your faith informs your work and why you want to serve in ministry.

    4. Highlight your live production experience: The job involves setting up and troubleshooting AV equipment for live events. Share examples of times you handled technical issues on the fly and kept the production running smoothly.

    5. Emphasize collaboration: You'll work with the Production Coordinator and other teams. Give examples of how you've partnered with others to deliver a project, especially in a fast-paced environment.

    6. Show you're current: The posting mentions AI software as an advantage. If you've used AI tools for editing or effects, mention them. Even if you haven't, show you're eager to learn and adapt to new tech.

    7. Prepare for a practical test: Many production roles ask you to edit a sample clip or do a sound check. Practice editing a short video and mixing audio so you can demonstrate your skills on the spot.

    8. Polish your CV for production: Use action verbs like 'edited', 'mixed', 'operated', and 'coordinated'. Quantify your achievements where possible, such as 'edited 20+ sermons for online streaming' or 'reduced audio noise by 30%'.
