    Additional Information

How to Apply: Interested candidates who meet the above requirements are invited to submit their CV and a brief cover letter outlining their relevant experience and why they would be suitable for the position. Please indicate “Sales & Business Development Executive – AV” as the subject of your application. Send your application to careers@premieraudio.co.ke.

Master the AV Sales Pitch: From Lead to Close

In AV sales, you're not just selling equipment—you're selling experiences and solutions. Hiring managers will look for candidates who can speak the language of both technology and business, and who can navigate the fast-paced events and corporate world.

    1. Know Your Product Inside Out: Before you step into any meeting, understand the specifications, capabilities, and ideal use cases for your AV equipment. Be ready to explain how a projector or sound system solves a client's specific problem, not just list features.

    2. Build a Prospect List: Use your networking skills to create a targeted list of potential clients—event planners, corporates, schools, and churches. Research their needs and tailor your approach to each one.

    3. Perfect Your Cold Outreach: Cold calls and field visits are part of the job. Prepare a concise, compelling pitch that grabs attention in the first 30 seconds. Practice your opening lines and have a clear call to action.

    4. Leverage Relationships: Your ability to build and maintain relationships is your biggest asset. Follow up consistently, remember client preferences, and always deliver on promises. A happy client is your best referral source.

    5. Master Quotations and Proposals: Your written communication reflects your professionalism. Learn to create clear, detailed quotations that outline costs, timelines, and deliverables. Double-check every figure before sending.

    6. Stay Ahead of Market Trends: Keep an eye on new AV technologies, industry events, and competitor moves. Being knowledgeable about the latest trends positions you as a trusted advisor, not just a salesperson.

    7. Show Leadership Potential: Even if you're not managing a team yet, demonstrate initiative and the ability to coordinate. Share ideas for improving sales processes, offer to mentor new hires, and show you can take ownership of projects.

    8. Prepare for the Interview: Expect scenario-based questions like 'How would you approach a cold lead?' or 'Describe a time you turned a difficult client into a loyal one.' Have concrete examples ready that highlight your sales wins and problem-solving skills.
