Master the Art of Inventory Accuracy

In warehouse and distribution roles, the difference between a good and a great supervisor often comes down to how well you manage inventory accuracy. Hiring managers will look for candidates who can demonstrate a track record of minimizing stock discrepancies and optimizing stock levels.

    1. Showcase Your SAP Expertise: Highlight your hands-on experience with SAP modules related to inventory and warehouse management. Provide specific examples of how you used SAP to improve stock visibility or reduce errors.

    2. Prove Your Leadership Skills: As a supervisor, you'll be leading a team. Share instances where you motivated your team to achieve high performance, resolved conflicts, or implemented training programs.

    3. Emphasize Your Knowledge of FIFO/FEFO: Explain how you have implemented and maintained FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) systems to reduce waste and ensure product quality.

    4. Highlight Your Problem-Solving Abilities: Describe a challenging situation in your previous role, such as a stock shortage or a logistics bottleneck, and how you resolved it. This shows your ability to think on your feet.

    5. Demonstrate Your Understanding of OTIFEF: Be ready to discuss how you ensure On Time In Full Error Free deliveries. Give examples of how you monitored delivery performance and took corrective actions.

    6. Show Your Commitment to Safety: Warehouse safety is paramount. Mention any safety certifications you have and how you have promoted a safety-first culture in your previous roles.

    7. Prepare for Behavioral Questions: Expect questions about how you handle pressure, manage multiple priorities, and communicate with different stakeholders. Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your answers.

    8. Research the Company: Understand Unga Holding's products, markets, and challenges. Tailor your responses to show how your skills align with their specific needs in the animal feeds and food industry.
