How to Apply: Send your CV and cover letter to Kenya.Careers@apeiro.com.

Show You Can Turn Health Policy Into Compelling Campaigns

This role sits at the intersection of digital health, public sector engagement, and brand storytelling. Hiring managers will want proof you can translate complex UHC goals into content that resonates with county stakeholders and online audiences alike.

    1. Map your experience to UHC and digital health: In your CV and cover letter, explicitly connect your past marketing wins to healthcare or development sector goals. If you've run campaigns for NGOs, health tech, or government programmes, highlight those. Show you understand the language of universal health coverage and can speak to both clinical and policy audiences.

    2. Build a mini portfolio of writing samples: Since copywriting and storytelling are core, prepare 3–5 samples that show range: a press release, a social media calendar, a blog post, and a newsletter. Tailor them to digital health themes if you can. Make sure they're clean, error-free, and visually presented.

    3. Demonstrate analytics fluency with real numbers: Be ready to discuss specific metrics you've improved: engagement rates, website traffic, email open rates, or ROI. Bring a one-page summary of a campaign you ran, showing the strategy, execution, and results. Numbers speak louder than adjectives.

    4. Prepare for stakeholder-heavy scenarios: This role involves working with product, PMO, training, and technical teams. Expect behavioural questions like 'Tell me about a time you aligned marketing with a technical team.' Have a STAR story ready that shows collaboration and influence without authority.

    5. Show you can manage multiple projects at once: With 15+ responsibilities, you'll need to prove organisational skill. Talk about how you use tools like Asana, Trello, or even spreadsheets to track campaigns, deadlines, and content calendars. Give a concrete example of juggling three campaigns simultaneously.

    6. Understand the East African context: The role supports regional growth, so show awareness of Kenya's digital health landscape, county-level health systems, and regional variations. Mention any experience with multi-country campaigns or working with diverse cultural audiences.

    7. Refresh your knowledge of digital tools: They mention Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Analytics, Canva, Adobe, and Figma. If you're rusty on any, do a quick refresher. Be ready to speak to how you've used these tools to drive results, not just list them.

    8. Prepare thoughtful questions: Ask about the current marketing team structure, the biggest communication challenge for the Kenya programme, and how success is measured. This shows strategic thinking and genuine interest in the role's impact.
