    Show Your F&B Leadership Chops

This role is all about running smooth outlets, hitting revenue targets, and keeping guests happy. Hiring managers will be looking for proof you can handle the pressure of a busy hotel environment.

    1. Quantify your wins: On your CV, put numbers to your achievements. Instead of saying 'improved sales,' say 'increased outlet revenue by 15% in six months.' Show you understand the financial side of F&B.

    2. Talk about your team: You'll be leading and motivating teams. Give examples of how you've coached staff, resolved conflicts, and built a positive work culture. Mention any training programs you've run.

    3. Know your POS systems: Be ready to discuss your experience with different point-of-sale systems. Mention specific software you've used and how you've used data from these systems to make decisions.

    4. Emphasize food safety: This is non-negotiable. Highlight your knowledge of food safety regulations and any certifications you hold. Show you take hygiene and compliance seriously.

    5. Prepare for scenario questions: Expect questions like 'How would you handle a difficult guest?' or 'What would you do if a supplier let you down?' Think about your answers in advance, using real examples.

    6. Show you're a brand ambassador: Accor is a global brand. Show you understand the importance of brand standards and delivering a consistent guest experience. Mention any experience you have with luxury or upscale properties.

    7. Be ready to talk about budgets: You'll manage budgets and control costs. Be prepared to discuss how you've managed P&L, reduced waste, and improved profitability in previous roles.

    8. Ask smart questions: At the end of the interview, ask about the team, the challenges of the role, or the property's goals. It shows you're genuinely interested and thinking ahead.
