Show You Can Run a Packing Line Without Drama

This role is about keeping a packing line moving, quality tight, and your team safe. Hiring managers will look for proof you've handled similar pressure before.

    1. Lead with your numbers: On your CV, put specific numbers: how many bags per shift, team size, defect rates you cut. If you don't have exact figures, estimate and label them as approximate.

    2. Talk about your safety record: Safety is non-negotiable here. Mention any safety training you've had, incidents you've prevented, or how you enforce PPE use.

    3. Show you know inventory: This job involves audits and reconciling discrepancies. Give an example of a time you caught a stock error and fixed it.

    4. Mention your people skills: You'll train and supervise staff. Describe how you've motivated a team or resolved a conflict without it escalating.

    5. Be ready for a practical question: They might ask how you'd handle a sudden quality issue on the line. Walk them through your steps: stop, inspect, report, fix.

    6. Know the recycling context: If you've worked in recycling before, highlight it. If not, show you understand the basics of plastic recycling and why quality matters.

    7. Prepare your own questions: Ask about the team size, shift patterns, and how performance is measured. It shows you're thinking about the role seriously.

    8. Follow up smartly: After applying, send a brief email to the hiring manager (if you have the address) reiterating your interest and one key strength. Keep it short.
