Mastering Seed Quality and Traceability in Post-Harvest

This role sits at the heart of seed production, where precision and compliance decide the harvest. Hiring managers will probe how you've handled quality control, documentation, and team leadership under pressure.

    1. Show your GSPP and HSE fluency: In your CV and interview, cite specific protocols you've followed, like phytosanitary measures or traceability systems. Mention any audits you've passed or led.

    2. Prove your data integrity skills: Highlight your use of MS-Excel, Smart-sheet, or Power BI in tracking seed lots, stock levels, or shipment documentation. Give a concrete example of how you used data to prevent errors.

    3. Demonstrate people management: Describe how you've coached or trained a team in post-harvest processes. Share a situation where you resolved a team conflict or improved performance.

    4. Connect agronomy to post-harvest: Be ready to discuss how physiological aspects of tomato production affect seed quality. Show you understand pest and disease symptoms that could compromise seeds.

    5. Prepare for machine handling questions: Expect questions about operating extraction, washing, or drying equipment. Talk about your mechanical aptitude and any maintenance coordination with engineering.

    6. Emphasize traceability and bio-lock: Explain how you've maintained seed purity and full traceability in past roles. Give examples of tracking seeds in and out of storage.

    7. Show stakeholder communication: This role liaises with logistics, engineering, and third parties. Prepare a story about coordinating with external partners to meet deadlines.

    8. Align with company values: Syngenta values curiosity, accountability, and courage. Reflect on times you asked 'why', owned a mistake, or encouraged your team to take calculated risks.
