    Additional Information

How to Apply: Send your application letter and updated CV, clearly indicating “Procurement Executive” in the subject line, to atlglobalbusiness@gmail.com and copy careersea@senseofafrica.co.ke by 31 August 2026.

Show Your Negotiation Wins and ERP Fluency

Procurement roles are won on proof, not promises. Hiring managers want to see how you've saved money, managed suppliers, and used systems like SAP or Odoo to keep things moving.

    1. Quantify your savings: On your CV, list specific cost reductions you achieved in past roles. For example, "Negotiated a 15% price reduction on hotel contracts" or "Consolidated suppliers to cut logistics costs by 20%." Numbers make your impact tangible.

    2. Show your ERP experience: If you've used SAP, Oracle, or similar, mention it prominently. Describe how you used the system to track purchase orders, manage inventory, or generate reports. If you haven't used a specific system, highlight your ability to learn new software quickly.

    3. Prepare a negotiation story: Think of a time you negotiated a better deal with a supplier. What was the situation, what did you do, and what was the outcome? Structure it using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to keep it clear and compelling.

    4. Understand the travel industry: Since the client is in destination management, research common procurement needs in tourism: safari vehicles, lodge supplies, or MICE event materials. Showing you understand this niche will set you apart.

    5. Highlight your ethical stance: Procurement is about integrity. Mention any experience you have with compliance, anti-bribery policies, or transparent tendering. This reassures employers you'll handle their money responsibly.

    6. Brush up on contract law basics: You'll be managing contracts, so know key terms like indemnity, force majeure, and service level agreements. You don't need to be a lawyer, but showing you understand these concepts is a plus.

    7. Practice Excel skills: You'll analyze data and create reports. Be ready to demonstrate your ability to use pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and create clear charts. If you're rusty, take a quick online refresher.

    8. Prepare questions for them: Ask about the company's current supplier base, the biggest procurement challenges, or how they measure success in this role. It shows you're genuinely interested and strategic.
