Win Over Retail Buyers and Community Networks
This role is about being the face of the brand in markets, shops, and community events. Hiring managers will look for someone who can talk to anyone, keep cool under pressure, and turn a casual chat into a sale.
1. Show your people skills: On your CV, give concrete examples of how you've engaged customers or communities before. Mention any work with women's groups or local networks—that's a big plus here.
2. Prove you know the tools: Be ready to talk about your experience with POS systems and spreadsheets. If you've used Excel or Google Sheets for recordkeeping, say so and give an example of what you did.
3. Understand the product: Research MAMLO FOODS and their products. Know what makes them different and be ready to explain how you'd talk about that to a customer.
4. Practice your pitch: You'll likely be asked to do a mock sales pitch. Practice a short, energetic pitch that you could use at a market stall or a retail outlet.
5. Highlight your adaptability: This role moves across channels—retail, pop-ups, exhibitions, digital. Give examples of times you've switched gears quickly and still delivered.
6. Show you're a team player: You'll work with other associates and maybe community partners. Talk about times you've collaborated to get a job done.
7. Be ready for stock questions: They might ask how you'd handle stock-taking or manage inventory. Have a simple, organized approach in mind.
8. Ask smart questions: At the end of the interview, ask about the team, the products, or the company's goals. It shows you're genuinely interested in the role and the company.
